This fun-loving quilt was made for a friend’s birthday. After the long gray winter and completing the charm quilt in warm, rustic colors, my soul simply SCREAMED for happy, cheery pink. (Then there was also the fact that my friend’s son and daughter-in-law were expecting the family's third grandchild, a girl).Pinks have always been my all-time favorite colors: shirts, sweaters, and such comfort me. Pink Depression glass, pens with pink ink, hot pink post-it notes . . . shocking vibrant pinks, softer muted rosy pinks, and every shade in between . . . I love them all.

I rarely use pink but this is great.
This cheerful pink quilt has been used by that third grandchild and also by the first, second, fourth and fifth! When not covering napping grandchildren or serving for picnics in the den, it graces the bed in the guestroom. I LOVE the color palette and am humbled and very grateful that Julie made something so wonderful just for me!
