For DH's 2007 birthday, I searched online and found as many different
workshop/tool themed fabrics as I could.
These were turned into an oversize lap quilt
(he unwrapped the fabrics - the quilt itself came later).

I couldn't resist the
measuring tape fabric
for binding.
